About

Hello friends, and welcome to S.O.S!
There's not a whole lot you need to know about me. Much like the famous elf, I'm a 6'-3" red-headed guy named Buddy. What's your favorite color? But most people know me by my middle name....Brent. By trade, I'm an engineer. When I'm not picking out beautiful sunset photos for blogsites and hoping people don't notice that the "sheep" are actually cattle, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and maybe playing a little disc golf.

In my experience as a human being, it's well-established that I am deeply flawed. I came into this world like a dumb, spotted sheep. Nonetheless, my flawless Creator (our uncreated Creator and God) sent His flawless Son, the Lamb of God, to take away the sin of the world through His own death on the cross, conquering death through His resurrection. Jesus Christ is both the Lamb of God and the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep and He offers an unending relationship with God simply by believing in Him to provide it. Through faith (believing) in this provision of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, I have been brought permanently into the fold of the Creator who is the God of the universe. I am His sheep.

So, though my experience hasn't changed much as I am still deeply flawed, my position and identity are now based on the merit of my Shepherd who sees me as spotless.

Through life experiences, I've become fascinated and fixated on the Good Shepherd's charge to Peter (another flawed sheep like me) that he feed His sheep and tend His lambs. This site is meant to assist in the feeding of sheep. It is also meant to encourage those flawed sheep that have taken on the role of shepherd, as it is such a vitally important role. Praying it may bring a few more sheep into the fold as well.

(Isaiah 53, John 1:29, John 3:16, John 10:11-18)
